A minimum of 10 hours of service (includes ASC and SAA activities) must be completed with UCLA in order to renew your scholarship, however you are encouraged to complete more service through UCLA beyond the 10 hour requirement. Also, you may complete through service with any UCLA department, service organization or club. UCLA Service can not be done for pay or for course credit.
Los Angeles Community Service
Los Angeles Community Service may be completed through a nonprofit 501(c)3 organization for up to 20 hours. Volunteer hours proselytizing religious and partisan political groups are not eligible. The service must be unpaid, charitable and take place within Los Angeles County. Students must turn in a proof of service letter on the non-profit's letter head stating the hours served with their organization.
