The Spirit Program committee coordinates volunteer Alumni Scholars for traditional ASC events such as I'm Going to College. The program committee also coordinates the ASC Marching Entry in the Beat SC parade and the Peer 2 Peer Program.
UC Health System's I'M GOING TO COLLEGE is the nation's largest collegiate community outreach effort involving elementary, middle and high school students across Southern California. The next IGTC is at the UCLA Football game vs. Oregon on Saturday, Oct. 10 at the Rose Bowl.
Volunteers are responsible for greeting school buses on arrival and escorting school groups to the IGTC Fair Zone and assisting with other events in the College Fair area. Volunteers will receive one complimentary reserved seat ticket, an IGTC t-shirt, and a complimentary lunch.
ASC proudly presents the Peer-2-Peer Program, which connects incoming students to experienced returning students in a mentor/mentee relationship. The program utilizes the vast resources of UCLA upperclassmen to help guide new students on their quest to successfully navigate their first year at UCLA. Along the way, new friendships will be created, lessons will be learned, and fun will be had. It will be an experience you will not want to miss.
