From organizing Quarterly meetings to hosting Fun For Finals, the Scholar Relations Committee serves to fulfill one major goal: create a link among Alumni Scholars that is stronger and more permanent than the monetary award that we all share. In the pursuit of achieving that goal, the committee will host social events throughout the year that will create a sense of community among Alumni Scholars.
At the beginning of each quarter, the Scholar Relations Committee puts together a quarterly meeting to let the scholars know of the upcoming events, programs, and opportunities that ASC has to offer. Every quarterly has a different interactive theme (past themes include Harry Potter, World Cup, and the VMAs). A representative from each committee takes the stage to announce their plans for the quarter, giving important information like dates and times. Decorations, food, activities and games are planned to ensure everyone has the opportunity to connect and bond with their fellow scholars, while having a fantastic and fun-filled time.
Brush up on your spell-casting and potion-making skills because this Fall Quarterly is going to be Harry Potter themed! Come on down to JWAC for a magical evening filled with enchantments, excitement and entertainment.
At the end of each quarter, the Scholar Relations committee organizes an event called Fun-for-Finals. Here, Alumni Scholars to come out of study-mode for an hour or two to de-stress and have fun. Each Fun-for-Finals has a different theme (such as Hawaiian-themed and Winter Wonderland). Decorations and food are included as well as many exciting and engaging activities ranging from snowflake making to hula dancing.
