Campus Volunteers

Campus Volunteers (CV) is an avenue for Alumni Scholars to get involved in the UCLA community by volunteering at events throughout campus. Community service is at the cornerstone of the Alumni Scholars Club keeping us unified toward bettering our university. However, through this process CV has the power to bring scholars together, strengthening our ASC bond and connection to each other. Together we are able to welcome foreign leaders to UCLA, staff the L.A. Times Festival of Books, proctor track meets and give blood to those in short supply. In short, CV is your pathway to experience and aide in the betterment of UCLA while fostering a close knit relationship to ASC as a whole.

Locks of Love

On February 7, 2008, 210 UClA students, staff, faculty, and friends, including many Alumni Scholars, came together to donate their hair for the Locks of Love charity. They donated a total of 2,210 inches of hair, and in doing so, will have helped create nearly 50 wigs for those suffering from the devastating effects of cancer. A big thank you to all those of you who donated to this worthy cause. Also, please note, a tentative date for the next Locks of Love event in Winter 2009 has been set, so be to "Save the Hair."
