Matt Atkin
President
4th Year
Major: Business Economics


Matt Atkin is a fourth year business economics major with a minor in Spanish. Originally from the Sonoma Valley in Northern California, he is a dual U.S./Swiss citizen, enjoys playing competitive sports, watching UCLA sports and taking advantage of all UCLA has to offer. He worked for Intel Finance this past summer.

Role

The President chairs the executive board, plans agendas and delegates responsibilities to the executive board members. He or she is responsible for planning the executive board retreat and facilitating social bonding among the other directors. During their term, the president defines ASC's agenda and oversees long-term planning efforts. The president communicates regularly with Alumni Association staff members and represents ASC at various Alumni Association meetings and events, including board meetings and Scholarship Steering Committee meetings. The president also plans and implements the ASC Open Houses in the spring for prospective Alumni Scholars.
