Naomi Serling-Boyd
Leadership Development Director
4th Year
Major(s): Biochemistry
After switching her major four times, Naomi has finally decided on biochemistry and plans on attending medical school after graduating this spring. She spends time volunteering at the UCLA Medical Center, working as a camp counselor for Unicamp, tutoring science, and of course, working alongside the rest of ASC's Executive Board to plan events and programs to provide leadership opportunities for Alumni Scholars. Outside of school, she enjoys going on adventures, hiking on the lesser traveled paths, people watching, traveling, late night conversations and spending time with her friends. She tends to get in trouble for picking the M&Ms out of trail mix.
The leadership development director works with the Executive Board, Alumni Association staff, and alumni to establish programs designed to strengthen and develop leadership and career skills among Alumni Scholars. This person is responsible for coordinating all levels of organization of ASC leadership training events. This director coordinates and oversees the Ambassador Program, where scholars return to their high schools to promote UCLA and the Alumni Scholarship. Finally, the director is in charge of coordinator development throughout the year. Contact Naomi at leadership@alumnischolarsclub.org.
