Philip DeSouza
Campus Volunteers Director
4th Year
Major(s): Psychobiology

Philip is originally from Sacramento but has capitally enjoyed the last few years in Los Angeles. He believes the best escape from the daily grind of school is a hot cup of coffee. Philip is always looking to court new tennis or racquetball partners but is afraid they won't see past his faults. He enjoys volunteering with the Child Life program at Mattel's Children Hospital and hopes that this and other clinical experiences are not in vein for making the cut into medical school after graduation. Philip finds standard math problematic, but deviates in his fondness for probability and statistics; he works as an AAP tutor in these subjects and he finds the joy of teaching to be boundless. Philip hopes you'll forgive him for all the puns but find that it was a rewording experience. He is beyond excited to be the Campus Volunteers director and to help the ASC community participate in wonderful and amazing service opportunities.

Role

The Campus Volunteers director is responsible for managing the ASC Campus Volunteers (CV). This program places large groups of ASC volunteers in various campus service projects such as the Los Angeles Times Book Fair, College Honors Day and various food and blood drives.
