Torey McMurdo
Communications Director
2nd Year
Major(s): Political Science

Torey McMurdo hails from Valley Center, a small town in northern San Diego. She is majoring in Political Science, with plans to eventually attain a career in International Relations. When not hanging out with her fellow ASCers, Torey can be found working as an assistant to athletic recruiting, cheering on her Bruins in The Den, or enjoying Westwood's coffee shops. She is a member of UCLA's honors program, Alpha Lambda Delta & Phi Eta Sigma honors societies, and the University Catholic Center. Torey was previously Scholarship Coordinator on the VP's Committee, and is honored to serve on the 2009-2010 Executive Board.

Role

The Communications director oversees copy, assignment and layout editors in their production of the ASC newsletter, published three times a year. He or she works closely with the marketing director to publicize and communicate key ASC messages. The communications director is also responsible for managing ASC e-mail, phone messages and the ASC office, as well as taking minutes at Executive Board meetings.
