April 8 - April 23
All over campus!
Come to Spring Quarterly where we will kick off Bruin BINGO, Leadership Style. Pick up your BINGO board and start experiencing more of campus, enhancing your leadership skills, and earning service hours. You are challenged to fill in as many squares as you can by completing leadership activities. Turn in your boards by April 23 to win some great prizes (Disneyland tickets, gift certificates, movie packs, etc) and get service hours toward scholarship renewal (deadline May 10). Come to Quarterly and start playing!

My Last Lecture

Fifty years ago, notable UCLA professors were given the chance to put all of their life lessons and advice for students into one "last lecture." This year, ASC has brought back this tradition through the My Last Lecture Award. This award was established to honor a UCLA professor who is an inspiration to students. More than 2000 Bruins participated in selecting this year's winner: Dr. Asim Dasgupta, Professor and Vice Chair of the Department of Microbiology, Immunology and Molecular Genetics. You won't want to miss his inspiring story.
In-Tents Camping with ASC
April 17-18, 10 a.m. (Saturday) - 2 p.m. (Sunday)
Leo Carrillo State Beach in Malibu
On the weekend of April 17th, ASC will embark on an EPIC camping trip to Leo Carrillo State Beach in Malibu. Come bond with fellow ASC members while hiking in the Malibu hills, swimming in the warm ocean, watching the sunset creep below the horizon, and sitting by the campfire telling stories and roasting s'mores! This will be a weekend retreat, but we will return by early Sunday afternoon. You do not want to miss this opportunity, space will fill up quickly, so sign up now. To sign up, you MUST email the Spirit email account at: ascspirit@yahoo.com. You must also bring $20 to Meghan Grandolfo's desk to confirm your reservation. You will not be guaranteed a spot until we receive your one-time payment. We are also looking for drivers. Where: Pauley Pavilion; Pauley Pavilion, Drake Stadium
UCLA's I'm Going to College (IGTC) program, the nation's largest collegiate community outreach effort, has touched the lives of thousands of elementary, middle and high school students across Southern California. Offered through Southern California school systems, this unique program couples the excitement and tradition of UCLA Athletic events with a message about the importance of higher education. UCLA Faculty & Staff, alumni, current students and student-athletes are instrumental in facilitating the success of this game day program as they guide thousands of children through educational fairs, campus tours and special attractions. Children delight in the success of Bruin teams, however, they leave I'm Going to College events with a greater understanding of the college environment and a feeling that it is an attainable goal for their own futures.

Fifty years ago, notable UCLA professors were given the chance to put all of their life lessons and advice for students into one "last lecture." This year, ASC has brought back this tradition through the My Last Lecture Award. This award was established to honor a UCLA professor who is an inspiration to students. More than 2000 Bruins participated in selecting this year's winner: Dr. Asim Dasgupta, Professor and Vice Chair of the Department of Microbiology, Immunology and Molecular Genetics. You won't want to miss his inspiring story.

Leo Carrillo State Beach in Malibu
On the weekend of April 17th, ASC will embark on an EPIC camping trip to Leo Carrillo State Beach in Malibu. Come bond with fellow ASC members while hiking in the Malibu hills, swimming in the warm ocean, watching the sunset creep below the horizon, and sitting by the campfire telling stories and roasting s'mores! This will be a weekend retreat, but we will return by early Sunday afternoon. You do not want to miss this opportunity, space will fill up quickly, so sign up now. UCLA Faculty & Staff, alumni, current students and student-athletes are instrumental in facilitating the success of this game day program as they guide thousands of children through educational fairs, campus tours and special attractions. Children delight in the success of Bruin teams, however, they leave I'm Going to College events with a greater understanding of the college environment and a feeling that it is an attainable goal for their own futures.

UCLA's I'm Going to College (IGTC) program, the nation's largest collegiate community outreach effort, has touched the lives of thousands of elementary, middle and high school students across Southern California. Offered through Southern California school systems, this unique program couples the excitement and tradition of UCLA Athletic events with a message about the importance of higher education. UCLA Faculty & Staff, alumni, current students and student-athletes are instrumental in facilitating the success of this game day program as they guide thousands of children through educational fairs, campus tours and special attractions. Children delight in the success of Bruin teams, however, they leave I'm Going to College events with a greater understanding of the college environment and a feeling that it is an attainable goal for their own futures.
